I can’t praise Crossroads sitting service enough. Bernadette has been coming for about 4 years now she’s not only my mums carer but has become a good friend to both me and mum. She looks after mum with the upmost dignity and I love the way they talk and laugh together. I would be lost without this service.

Gemma is lovely with my daughter, and with us. She goes above and beyond with her care.

I have only had the service for a short time but it has been invaluable. As an elderly carer you do feel isolated. Jenny has bonded with my husband so I can feel happy leaving the house.

My spouse remarks that they always look forward to support workers visit. This has been the case from the beginning. The support worker “reaches out” to my spouse to find out their interests and the two of them laugh a lot together! When I leave the house, I don’t give a seconds thought.

This time is something I look forward to where I can have the time for me without concerns that something might happen back home when I am away. Thank you.

The service is the best I have had. On time, always feel safe and comfortable. Friendly and supportive and helpful.

I must sing the praises of Suzanne who attends to my husband for 3 hours a week.. She is always happy and smiling when she arrives and always asks how I have got on over the past week. A very caring person who I can share a laugh with (and I need it!). we both love her!

Nicole is always very kind and professional in her role. My husband always looks forward to her visits.

Day Centre Testimonials

The ladies at the day centre are always there to meet & greet us both with a  smile on their faces. They are all lovely people and so caring, cannot fault the care and attention they give. All of you at Crossroads are wonderful, I cannot express enough how highly I regard everyone.

Like the sit in service can’t praise the day centre enough, the ladies there are all lovely and welcomed mum, they are so caring and its lovely seeing my mum happy and relaxed laughing and talking to the others. When I pick mum up she always tells me how wonderful all the ladies are and I thank you for my respite and thank you for looking after my mum x

How glad I am to have found Crossroads! As soon as you step through the door there is always a warm welcome and total acceptance for both the members and carers. A calm and relaxed atmosphere pervades. The support workers show great thoughtfulness to each individual as well as nurturing interaction within the group. And as for the amazing lunches and home-bakes enjoyed in the afternoon …! Fridays are definitely a highlight of each week for us both and I cannot speak too highly of Crossroads care.

Me & my mum have been very happy with the care and support we have received whilst attending the day centre. My mum really enjoyed her time with you and everyone was so happy and friendly. My mum always enjoyed the delicious meals that were served and we both thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas dinner. thank you all so much xxx

My mother really enjoys her ‘Friday Club’ and even if she can’t always remember what she did she knows she enjoyed her day there. For me this is wonderful.

It is a great relief for me to leave my husband at the centre. Everyone of the helpers seem to give 100% in ensuring that the people in their care are happy and involved in some form of stimulation. I cant thank them enough for the work that they do and the service they provide.

For me it’s the only place she goes where she can be herself without judgement.

I know mum is safe and well looked after and that I can work without worrying. The Carers always undertake stimulating activities with mum.

My husband is always happy after he has spent time at the day centre. I am happy knowing he is safe, has a good meal and is encouraged to join in with the activities.
